The 2000 Pittsburgh Mega Men are proud to announce the hiring of Yuri Krivokhija as their Head Coach for the 2010 Spring season!

The search for a coach is complete! The 2000 team is extremely excited to announce that former 1988 Belarus Ice Hockey Olympian, Yuri Krivokhija, has accepted the position to coach the boys for the 2010 Spring season. Coach Krivokhija brings an extensive resume and a demanding style that will help the boys to grow as players and individuals.

The following is a brief excerpt of Coach Krivokhija's coaching and playing experience.

COACHING EXPERIENCE:
2008-2009 U-16 PITTSBURGH VIPERS STARS HEAD COACH
Finalist in Districts
CANON-MACMILLAN HIGH SCHOOL HEAD COACH.
Quarterfinals in playoffs, first time in high school history.

2007-2008 U-16 AAA PITTSBURGH VIPER STARS HEAD COACH
State Champion, Districts Champions, finished #4 in National Playoffs Ranking
U-16 (92-93) AAA PITTSBURGH VIPER STARS RED HEAD COACH
QUAKER VALLEY DEFENSE COACH

2006-2007 U-16 AAA PITTSBURGH VIPER STARS HEAD COACH
Great Leaks Hockey League Champion, PA State Champion in the first season

PROFESSIONAL PLAYING EXPERIENCE:
DRAFTED: In 1988 11th round by Montreal Canadians POSITION: Defense

Now that the hard part is over, we'll be turning our attention to the tryouts. Please keep in mind that this is a "AAA" team, that will compete in some very high end tournaments, only qualified players should attend the tryouts.

Over the next couple weeks, I will be working with Coach Yuri to determine the tryout dates and locations. Communication will go out once that is finalized. Please welcome Coach Yuri to the team, should your paths cross in the future!
